Induction, Settling and Internal Transitions
Once we have confirmed that we have a place for your child then the class teacher or room leader will be in touch. They will arrange for a home visit to take place with your child's key worker. The home visit is a good opportunity to share key information about your child. We will ask questions to complete an 'All About Me' sheet.
Following the home visit you and your child be be invited to a settling visit. You will be encouraged to stay with your child whilst they develop confidence with the new adults, routines and environments. Each child settles differently. Your key worker will work with you to ensure we get the transition to nursery school just right.
When your child is ready to move to a new room we will give you plenty of notice. Your child will meet their new key worker and spend time in their new classroom.
