A message from our Chair of Governors
I feel very privileged to be chair of governors at Canterbury Nursery School. The governing body includes parent governors, staff governors, and co-opted/community governors. We are all volunteers and meet formally every half term. We do school visits and get involved in other ways, too.
The governing body’s job is to set the strategic direction for the school, to ensure the finances are sound and to offer challenge and support to the headteacher. The headteacher and staff are responsible for the day-to-day running of the school.
We really enjoy meeting pupils and their families at events throughout the year.
