The Meadow Suite
We were thrilled to be able to open our nursery doors again this September. It was lovely to see all the children again and welcome lots of new ones too. All the children are settling in well and are keen to explore.
One of the activities we have really enjoyed is making stretchy dough. Simply adding flour, water and oil together makes for lots of fun! The children have enjoyed adding the ingredients together and mixing with spoons and their hands. They have pretended to make rotis, chapattis, cakes and buns with the dough as well as stretching and rolling it too. If you would like a play dough recipe to try at home please clink on the link here.
Better Start Imagine
Providing free books to children under four in our area, to help develop language and literacy skills.
Better Start Imagine will provide free books to families with children under four, to help them read with their child and develop their language and literacy skills. Every child born in the Better Start Bradford area after 1 January 2016 can be signed up to the scheme, and receive a book each month until their fourth birthday (from December 2016). Evaluation from a similar scheme in the Canterbury area of Bradford shows it works in encouraging reading and book-related activities by families.
