Termly Overview

Autumn Term 2018

September has been a busy, exciting time in The Meadow Suite.  We welcomed Debbie and Shamaela to our expanding staff team.  As always we have also welcomed lots of new starters to The Ladybird, Caterpillar and Butterfly rooms.  After lots of staying and playing most children are now attending each day and already making some fantastic progress.  As the season begins to change we have observed conkers falling from the horse chestnut tree and picked apples from our apple tree which we have enjoyed at snack time.  We have also loved seeing squirrels in our playground and watched with fascination as they nibble and carry around the fallen conkers.

Our Meadow Children have continued to really enjoy our weekly dance sessions on Tuesdays with Laura. Its a great opportunity for the children to develop their confidence, physical development skills as well as follow instructions and move their bodies to music.

We always love hearing about what our families have been doing at home. Don't forget to share any photos with us by emailing them to Serana who will pass them on to your child's key person.

Better Start Imagine

Providing free books to children under four in our area, to help develop language and literacy skills.

Better Start Imagine will provide free books to families with children under four, to help them read with their child and develop their language and literacy skills. Every child born in the Better Start Bradford area after 1 January 2016 can be signed up to the scheme, and receive a book each month until their fourth birthday (from December 2016). Evaluation from a similar scheme in the Canterbury area of Bradford shows it works in encouraging reading and book-related activities by families.
